The Child, Adolescent and Family Therapy Center was established by ETHOS in 1993, in response to ever increasing needs of individuals and families with substance abuse and/or mental health needs. Research reveals that drug treatment and mental health counseling words when it is approached holistically, and take into account that drugs use affects the whole person. At ETHOS, we believe that as the individual is impacted by drugs, alcohol and mental health issues, so is the functionality of the family unit. Therefore, in treating the individual we recognize that it is important to also address the impact on those who love and care for them.
Addictive behaviors are often overlooked in the treatment of many Mental Health Problems. These behaviors take on many forms, most of which many do not even think of as addictive. When such behaviors significantly interfere with one’s enjoyment of life and prevent one’s reaching a full and complete occupational, educational and social functioning, they must be addressed. Over the past ten years, Ethos has conducted research focusing on specific behaviors, developing a unique treatment approach for each. The addictive areas that we offer help in are listed below.:
- PRESCRIBED DRUGS
- OVER EATING
- INTERNET SEX
